The first time I tried this delightful creation of my mother-n-law, I knew this recipe was going to be a family favorite in our home too! The combination of basil and cheese with light and fluffy scrambled eggs is simply delectable! Cheesy-Basil Eggs are perfect on their own, or as a delicious side-dish with pancakes or waffles.
Ingredients
- 8 large eggs
- 1/3 cup plain almond milk
- 1/4 tsp dried basil (rub between your fingers to release oils and flavor)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- Dash of freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup grated raw milk cheese
Instructions
- Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, basil, salt and pepper until well combined and foamy.
- Butter skillet and add egg mixture. Using a spatula, gently move eggs around in skillet to scramble. When eggs are almost cooked through, transfer half of eggs to a bowl and sprinkle with half of cheese. Place remaining eggs on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Enjoy!
