1. This is a personal blog dedicated to bringing glory to God:
As a follower of Jesus Christ, I know that not everyone who happens upon this site will agree with everything I express here, especially when it comes to sharing my heart for following hard after the Lord. So please keep in mind, dear readers, that this is a personal blog – a place where I not only share my thoughts and opinions about healthy wholesome food, natural living, meal planning and cooking with kiddos, but also where I share the foundation of my life – my faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
If that offends you, please realize there are plenty of other terrific real food sites out there that do not claim Christ as Lord, but here at The Nourishing Home, I do. My purpose here isn’t to exclude or malign, but to lovingly share the truth as I have found it to be based on the authoritative Word of God – Christ alone saves! So, I feel it’s important that you know, right out of the gate, that my sole reason for sharing my personal experiences regarding healthy living is so I can bring greater glory to Him!
2. Only honest opinions are shared here:
With that said, it’s also important to clarify that my opinions are my own honest assessments and personal experiences. They are in no way influenced by any companies, organizations or others I may partner with. I believe in being completely honest, for there is no other way to live if we are to please Christ. So be assured that you will always get my honest feedback – my heart is to provide you with honest opinions and recommendations about the whole foods and resources my family personally finds of benefit as we seek to live a more nourished life.
3. My personal opinions should not be mistaken for healthcare advice:
All recipes, posts, references, links and recommendations on The Nourishing Home are provided to inspire you and your family to live healthier lives in service to the King. And although I’ve spent a great deal of time researching the benefits of a real food diet, I strongly believe that it’s vitally important for individuals to make their own healthcare and dietary decisions based upon their own personal research and in partnership with a qualified health care professional.
Therefore, please be aware that any statements or claims about the possible health benefits of the foods or supplements I personally use and support have not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Administration. Nor is any of the content on this site intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
4. Yes, I do get some free stuff which helps to support this blog:
For the purposes of complying with FTC rules, you should also note that although the majority of links on my site are purely for informational purposes, many (such as links to certain books or whole food suppliers), may result in me receiving a small commission or free products, which help to support some of the costs associated with operating this website.
With regard to links to Amazon:

However, be assured, that I will never endorse a product or company that I do not use, or do business with personally. And again, all thoughts and opinions shared on this site are my own honest assessments and personal experiences as previously stated above.

However, you may not republish a recipe in its entirety in any form. For questions, or for permission to use a photo or recipe, please contact me via email at [email protected]. Thank you! 7. Trust in the Creator and not in the creation:
And last, but of greatest importance, my mission in creating this site is to bring glory to God and inspire each of us to live more fully for Him! So I would never want anyone to be under the false impression that trusting in food for your health and well-being is the heart of this site, or of my life. Only God can heal, and although we can make wise decisions by choosing to eat the food that He’s designed for our well-being, it’s important that we never begin to trust in anything more than we trust in God. Yes, we need to use the wisdom that God gives us to make good choices about how best to manage our health, but we should never be so foolish as to put our trust in the creation, rather than in the Creator.
May God bless and keep you!
Joyfully Serving HIM, Kelly
