A Closer Look at My Journey & Our Favorite Fruit Crisp Recipe!

By Kelly · 7 Comments

I’m honored to be a special guest of Michelle over at her wonderful allergy-friendly blog The Willing Cook. She’s so graciously allowed me to share my personal journey with you  – a path marked by God’s grace in leading me to a real food lifestyle that has resulted in a closer walk with Christ and positive health changes that have enable me to better serve Him, my family, my church and YOU!

If you’ve been curious about why I do what I do in providing free recipes, meal plans and resources for healthy real food living, then I encourage you to pop over today and check out my exclusive interview with The Willing Cook.

Of course, I couldn’t just pop over for a visit and pour out my heart without bringing something healthy and scrumptious to share as well. So, I’m happily sharing my favorite fruit crisp recipe, featuring glorious fresh summer peaches!

Growing up in the South, one of the highlights of summer was enjoying fresh seasonal peaches – so sweet and juicy! My affinity for these little fuzzy treats hasn’t changed, and so now I like to buy a couple of crates of ripe organic peaches each summer, so I can slice and freeze them for use all year long.

So in addition to this personal interview, I’m also sharing my special Berry Peachy Crisp recipe. It can be made using either fresh ripe peaches, or frozen ones. The addition of sweet and tangy raspberries really complements the mellow flavor of peaches, making this an extra special treat!

Don’t let FB come between us :)

By Kelly · 15 Comments

Hi, friends! Incase you haven’t heard, it looks like Facebook is at it again … this time, it’s changing our newsfeeds. So if you’ve been missing me on Facebook, please know I’ve really been missing YOU too!

Thankfully, there’s a simple solution to ensure that you don’t miss out on the latest updates from The Nourishing Home. By following these few easy steps, you can make sure you not only see my posts, but the posts of your other favorite pages as well.

1. Simply visit The Nourishing Home FB page and hover over the LIKED button. As shown above, you’ll see an option to create a “New List.” Once you click on +New List, you will see The Nourishing Home added to your list, as shown below.

2. If you’d like to add more of your favorite pages, just click on “Pages,” and continue adding your favorite pages to your new list. When done, click the NEXT button at the bottom of the page.

3. It’s now time to name your new list.  You can also opt to make your list public and share it with friends, or opt to keep it private. When you’re finished, click the DONE button at the bottom of the page.

4. Now, here’s the best part … once you have your list set up,  you can click on the little pencil icon on the left of your list name and select “Add to Favorites.” As shown below, this will move your FAVORITE PAGES list (or whatever you decide to call it) right to the top of your FAVORITES, for quick and easy access.

5. From now on, you can click on your new list and be able to see ALL of the recent posts for all of the pages in your list, as shown above! Woo Hoo! No more missing out on the posts of your favorite pages!

BTW, my friend Christy at Grocery Geek has a great video that she posted that walks you through this process step-by-step, if you’d like to see how quick and easy it is via a live demo – thanks, Christy!

Why did I write this post? Because I really do miss YOU … so I hope you’ll take a quick minute to make sure The Nourishing Home is part of your FAVORITE PAGES newsfeed. (P.S. You can also find me on Pinterest – Kelly @ The Nourishing Home! Hope we can be pin-pals too!)

Thanks, friends! Blessings to you, Kelly
