I am looking into buying your Everyday Grain Free Baking book. I have tried many of your recipes from your blog, so I am excited about your book! I do have a question for you first. Do your recipes call for honey or a granulated sweetener in the book? (Do you think I can I substitute a granular sugar (rapadura) for recipes calling for honey? And perhaps add a bit of liquid to make up for the honey instead?)
Hi, Rhonda. Most all of my recipes use honey, just a few use coconut sugar (which rapadura could easily replace). I would say about 75% of them can be easily adjusted using a granulated sugar with some additional moisture. Often, applesauce works quite well, or some additional fat. It just depends on the recipe. If you enjoy baking, I’d say for $13 for more than 100 recipes you can’t go wrong with my book. It sounds like you are pretty savvy with substitutions. 🙂
Thanks Kelly. You’re always a sweetheart, I so enjoy your blog! Buying your book *tonight! 🙂
Right back at you, sweet friend! 🙂 Thanks for your support!
