Leftover turkey is a special blessing in more ways than one! I’m thankful for having all of that extra meat on hand for whipping-up quick and healthy dinners. But of course, you don’t have to eat it every single day in a row until it’s gone. You can freeze it and use it later – long after the memories of the Thanksgiving Day overindulgence have past.
One quick and easy way to make use of turkey leftovers (or roasted chicken) is this delicious Turkey Pot Pie recipe that I’m sharing over at For the Family. It’s definitely a creamy, rich comfort food that the whole family will appreciate – and will leave you with more time for preparing for the next much-anticipated holiday – Christmas!
Three cheers for leftovers!
This was SO delicous. I made it like Chicken and Biscuits (left out the potatoes in the gravy and served it over mashed potatoes with biscuits on the side), which we haven’t had since going whole foods because I couldn’t figure out how to make without all those “cream of something” soups. So thank you, because we now get to eat our favorite winter meal whole foods style!!
So glad you all enjoyed this, Laura. Thanks for sharing your recipe variation. It sounds delicious! Many blessings to you and your family for a Merry Christmas, Kelly
Made this tonight. We are following your meal plan with a few changes due to scheduling. This meal was amazing! We enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait to eat the leftovers. Thank you!
Thanks, Jenny! You are such a blessing! Appreciate you taking the time to leave kind note, sweet friend! 🙂
I made this with chicken tonight – family loved it and it was a good meal coming off flu’s and soups all week
Thanks, Debbie! So sorry you all haven’t been well! I really missed retreat! I hope it was great! 🙂
