Honey Cream & Berries Oatmeal 3

My friends at Honey Pacifica have been producing delicious raw honey since 1978. Their cold-packed honey varieties are 100% raw, unheated, unfiltered and unprocessed in order to preserve all of the honey’s natural anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. That’s why I’m honored to partner with them and appreciate their commitment to helping me serve you all by continually providing The Nourishing Home with fresh raw honey to create many of the recipes on this site.

Joyfully Serving HIM, Kelly

I just recently found your delightful blog and just had to take a moment to say….. I LOVE the heart-shaped strawberries! What a great idea! Also, thank you for all the menus you offer and the menu template as well. My favorite part of the template is the “prep” section! That is such a helpful tool for meal planning! Thanks again!

Does Honey Pacifica give shipping discounts to your out-of-state readers? We’d love to try some of this creamy honey, but not with shipping rates twice as high as the product itself.
Thank you for another great recipe, Kelly!

I will email them and ask about that. I didn’t realize shipping was so high. They are local source here in Southern CA, so I hadn’t looked to see what their shipping rates are. Appreciate you pointing that out. It’s really great when you can find a local source in your area and support those farmers/beekeepers. Do you have any local honey sources where you live? Often you can find them at Farmer’s Markets, that’s how I discovered Honey Pacifica. Lots of blessings, Kelly 🙂

    Hi Kelly,
We do have a one or twol local honey sources, they just don’t carry the “creamy” honey. I appreciate your efforts Kelly. Thank you! Hope you have a great day and blessings to you, too.
    🙂

My pleasure! (Yes, I love the creamy honey – especially on bread, biscuits, etc. YUM!) 🙂

What is best, regular rolled oats or quick cooking oats? Or does it matter? Thx!

Hi, Vicki. I’ve seen some sites that say rolled oats are better than quick cooking because they are not heated as long. But since you’re heating them to cook them, that seems odd to me, but I haven’t taken the time to research it further. I think it comes down to taste. Personally, quick cook oats get too pasty when soaked and then cooked (in my opinion) so I avoid them and use traditional rolled oats instead. In fact, I prefer thick-cut rolled oats because I like to have the texture of rolled oats left intact after soaking and cooking. Bob’s Red Mill makes an excellent thick-cut rolled oat and of course regular rolled oats as well. Hope this helps. Blessings, Kelly 🙂
