Don’t be tempted to compromise your health by succumbing to the convenience of fast food. With a little planning ahead (meal planning, that is), you can make your own homemade burgers and freeze them for nights when you’re pressed for time.
And making fast REAL food, is not only substantially healthier, but it’s also more economical too! Personally, we think these burgers are the bomb! If you’re in the mood to go big, serve them up with a side of healthier fries and a big scoop of my secret ingredient guacamole!
Time-Saving Tip: This is one of three quick-n-easy ground turkey recipes that you can prepare all at the same time and then freeze them to have ready-to-go meals for busy days. For details, check out “Turkey Times Three (T3).”

Made these today after church. Added a slice of sharp cheddar and served them with carrot and parsnip oven fries. My eight year old wants to know when she’ll be able to have them again. ” This is the best burger ever, mom” was her response. I think I’ll be making them again next sunday for lunch and doing a little dance about hidden veggies and some serious culinary miracles you’ve sent our way lately. whoo hoo!

The burgers look really yummy .What kind of buns ?
Kelly says
The buns used in the photo are Udi’s brand which isn’t ideal in that they do contain some ingredients which I wouldn’t promote eating on a regular basis. However, you can find some delicious homemade options for homemade buns via my friend Carrie (if you eat gluten): http://deliciouslyorganic.net/organic-real-food-on-a-budget-homemade-hamburger-buns/ Or via this site (if you’re GF): http://www.againstallgrain.com/2012/05/25/grain-free-hamburger-buns/. Both are delicious and fairly easy to make and store in the freezer. Blessings, Kelly
